We are back at Panya after our 2 week ‘holiday’ in Chiang Mai and things are cooking here. 30 students and a renowned teacher arrive on the 10th for a 2 week intensive course in Permaculture Design. We are the assistants in all phases of the care and feeding of these folks plus we’re taking the course ourselves so we’ve been warned that there will not be a spare minute in our lives for the next 2 weeks. We’re looking forward to it all. Here are a few highlights of our last 3 weeks
Peter with friend fresh after a $2.00 haircut.(a dollar eighty actually)
We rented a motorcycle and visited the Saturday Water Buffalo and Cattle market about 20 mi. south of Chiang Mai.
I can't resist petting a calf who was calling out for her mom
Anyone who knew Stella knows why we fell in love with this one
This is why we love Thailand. This beautiful, elaborate Wat makes room for Donald duck (well, a knock off of course) with no apologies.
We visit yet another Wat. They are so frequent and so compelling. This one has outstanding Nagas (snakes)
With Ajaan Lah, our Thai teacher. We met with her ever other day or so on the grounds of a Wat near our guesthouse for lessons. Lah is sharp, a real professional and a good teacher, unfortunately, we suck at Thai
The 3 story Starbucks in Chiang Mai. We haven't actually been in there, it looks like a different universe as we walk by and look in the window.
